Jay Kolvenbag Prototyping

About

I am a designer with an affinity for high quality prototyping, using different fabrication techniques to integrate actuators, mechanisms and aesthetics into functional prototypes.

I have an academic background in Industrial Design (BSc & MSc) at the Technical University of Eindhoven, and have 4 years of experience in designing, manufacturing, and assembling research prototypes in collaboration with researchers of the Human Interactive Materials Group at the Faculty of Chemical Engineering & Chemistry (TU/e). Currently, I offer my skills and services as a freelancer.

The bulk of my previous work concerns designing devices that process materials to create soft-robotic actuators. Besides this, I also have experience in designing interactive and aesthetic devices with an integrated layer of technology.
